Bridgette regener
Principal
Drawing on 18 years of post-admission experience, Bridgette provides compassionate and strategic family law and reputation management advice across a wide spectrum of matters.
In matters involving complex financial structures, clients benefit from Bridgette's background in commercial law. In 2007, Bridgette commenced legal practice with a top tier firm in Sydney where she worked in the litigation and mergers and acquisitions teams. In 2011, Bridgette sat the bar exams and was called to New South Wales bar, where she completed her readership under the tutelage of Sue Chrysanthou SC and practised from Wentworth Chambers.
Since returning to private practice as a solicitor and becoming a parent herself, Bridgette has focused on family law. She has acted for clients in high-conflict property cases involving significant asset pools and allegations of domestic violence, as well as collaborative and less adversarial separations.
Bridgette takes pride in her track record of settling cases favourably for clients at mediation. However, in cases where settlement cannot be achieved an advantage arises from Bridgette’s experience as an expert litigator; a former barrister who has run trials in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, the Common Law and Equity Divisions of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the District Court of New South Wales, the Local Court of New South Wales and NCAT.
Bridgette holds undergraduate degrees in law and art history (fine art theory) from the University of New South Wales, where she was the recipient of several scholarships. She also holds a master's degree in law from the University of Sydney where she won the Maddocks’ Prize in Labour Law.
Bridgette is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
